Farmer Nishi: Round 2

nishiscreen

Back from the abyss of leveling 500+ pets I’m back to working on pet battle blogging because I just felt like I was missing something.  I’ve been testing and re-testing all of my MoP strategies to make sure that they are WoD compliant, and I’m happy to say that almost all of them made it through unscathed.  Some of them have turned out even better with the 100% hit change.  To prepare for the incoming “An Awfully Big Adventure” achievement, I’m making sure that I have a 2-pet strategy posted for all of the trainers.  So to that end, here’s my current favorite Farmer Nishi Strategy.

Synopsis: This fight involves the sunlight weather effect and a lot of elemental damage done to your team.  I’ve found that changing the weather makes this fight much more manageable.

Goal: To defeat the tamer with 2 pets so that a third pet can be carried through for maximum experience gain.

Farmer Nishi’s Team

el16 Siren with el16 Photosynthesis,  el16 Sunlight, and  el16 Solar Beam
el16 Toothbreaker with el16 Leech Seed,  el16 Inspiring Song, and el16 Sons of the Root
be16 Brood of Mothallus with  Consume Acidic Goo, and   Burrow

Your Team

aq16 Dancing Water Skimmer – aq16 Water Jet, aq16 Cleansing Rain, aq16 Pump
Carry Pet
aq16 Snarly Rip, aq16 Surge, aq16 Blood in the Water

Start with your Skimmer and cast the preparatory phase of Pump and wait for Siren to change the weather.  Then change the weather back on him by using Cleansing Rain.  Hit him with Pump, charge pump again, and finish him off with a few Water Jets.  You saved your pump to hit Toothbreaker with when he first comes out, so use it.  He’ll cast Sons of the Root and disappear so use this time to renew the Cleansing Rain and prep your Pump to hit again.  Finish him off with Pump and move on to Brood of Mothallus.  You’ll be finished off early in the Brood fight, but just Water Jet and Pump when you can to do some damage.  Bring your low level pet in after your Skimmer dies and immediately swap to Snarly.  Rip, Blood in the Water, and Surge are all lovely finishers.
