Beasts of Fable Book III

book3

Again, since the whole reason for defeating the beasts is to get the bags, and it takes several battles to finish the quest;  your goal for the beasts below is to defeat them with optimal pets and do it as quickly as you can.

Most of the teams below can be found in the Pet Nukem section, but may be slightly varied.  No-no’s the only bugger because he dodges and blocks so many of your attacks.  Bring a bunch of flyers and you can quickly bring him down.

Gorespine (unbornSpiked Skin, Scratch, Rip)

Start with the Lantern and use Illuminate to turn the day into Sunny Weather.  Swap to your Abyssal and Explode.  Bring in your Bombling and Explode.

No-nomoth (Tail Slap, Dive, Beaver Dam)

  • Silky Moth (357 or 322 speed) with Alpha Strike, Cocoon Strike, and Moth Dust
  • Polly (537 or 322 speed) with Slicing Wind, Hawkeye, and Lift-Off
  • Grey Moth (325 speed) with Alpha Strike, Cocoon Strike, and Moth Dust

No-no’s the only Beast of Fable that requires any real thought.  He has so many dodges that you’ll need to think about when to hit and when to pass.  To make it easy pick 3 Flying pets that have more than 310 speed and you’ll always go first, and you’ll have attacks that are great against Aquatic.

– Hit No-no with Alpha Strike/Slicing Wind when there’s no Beaver Dam or he’s not underground for Dive.
– Lift-Off right before you get hit with Dive.
– Pass your turn or use Hawkeye when the Beaver Dam is up.  Let No-no knock it down.

Ti-un the Wanderer (Tidal Wave, Pump, Shell Shield)sunlight

Start with the Lantern and use Illuminate to turn the day into Sunny Weather.  Swap to your Abyssal and use Crush then Explode.  Bring in your Bombling and Zap and Explode.

Again, since the whole reason for defeating the beasts is to get the bags, and it takes several battles to finish the quest;  your goal for the beasts below is to defeat them with optimal pets and do it as quickly as you can.

All of the teams below are found in the Pet Nukem section, but may be slightly varied.  These teams are pretty well optimized, but I’m always interested in finding fun ways to bring the opponent down.

Greyhoof (unbornTrample, Hoof, Roar)

Start with the Lantern and use Illuminate to turn the day into Sunny Weather.  Swap to your Abyssal and Explode.  Bring in your Bombling and use Zap once before you Explode.

Skitterer Xi’asunlight (Skitter, Water Jet, Flurry)

Start with the Lantern and use Illuminate to turn the day into Sunny Weather.  Swap to your Abyssal and Explode.  Bring in your Bombling and Explode.  If you use the H/H Abyssal (1725 health) the 2 Explodes should deal about 2000 damage.

Lucky Yi (Quick Attack, Perk Up, Uncanny Luck)rot

  • Sen’jin Fetish with Flame Breath, Wild Magic, and Rot
  • Stowaway Rat (300 speed or faster) with Scratch, Flurry, and Stampede
  • Carrion Rat (300 speed or faster) with Scratch, Flurry, and Stampede

The type of rats you use don’t particularly matter, they just need to be fast and have Stampede.  I just picked a couple of them that I had at max level.

Start with the Fetish and just use Wild Magic until you die.  Use Rot on your last undead racial turn.  Bring in a Rat and use Stampede until you die.  Bring in the other one to Stampede if you need it, but you shouldn’t.

It’s true that I use the same team 3 times in here, but it works so well!  Beasts that can’t heal are very susceptible to the Sunny Weather/Explode teams.  Sometimes with efficiency, comes boredom.  I’ll certainly be trying and using different teams to take down the beasts, but this makes it so you can do several of the Beasts without too many pets leveled up.

Ka’wi the Gorger (unbornMoth Balls, Super Sticky Goo, and Chew)

Start with the Lantern and use Illuminate to turn the day into Sunny Weather.  Swap to your Abyssal and Explode.  Bring in your Bombling and use Zap once before you Explode.

Kafisunlight (Gnaw, Headbutt, and Leap)

Start with the Lantern and use Illuminate to turn the day into Sunny Weather.  Swap to your Abyssal and Explode.  Bring in your Bombling and Explode.  If you use the H/H Abyssal (1725 health) the 2 Explodes should deal about 2000 damage.

Dos-Ryga (Frost Breath, Whirlpool, and Healing Wave)rot

  • Sen’jin Fetish with Flame Breath, Wild Magic, and Rot
  • Stowaway Rat (300 speed or faster) with Scratch, Flurry, and Stampede
