Deebs, Tyri, & Puzzle

deebstyripuzzlescreen

As part of my series on the Menagerie Daily quests, today you’ll play in the world of Diablo.

Synopsis: Tryi can really hurt and all of your opponents will be very fast.  As with several strategies, using the weather effects against them will be the key to their undoing.

Goal: To defeat the tamer with 2 pets so that a third pet can be carried through for maximum experience gain.

Deebs, Tyri, & Puzzle

ma16 Deebs with ma16 Blast of Hatred, ma16 Weakness, and un16 Bone Prison
Tyri with  Omnislash,  Call Darkness, and  Surge of Light
Puzzle with ma16 Coin Toss,  Dodge, and ma16 Portal

Your Team

Scourged Whelpling –  Tail Sweep,  Death and Decay,  Plagued Blood
Carry Pet
Ghostly Skull –  Shadow Slash, ma16 Spectral Strike,  Siphon Life

As with many of the menagerie dailies, there are abilities that the enemy team uses that hits your back line.  You’ll need just over 300 health to survive it.

Start off with your Whelpling and use Plagued Blood and then Death and Decay.  Keep using Tail Sweep until Deebs is toast.  When Tyri comes in you’ll usually only get 1 ability off before you’re stunned and dead, so make it Plagued Blood to be healing your next pet.  If you happen to get a chance at another ability just refresh Death and Decay.  Swap your level pet in, and then swap it right back out for the Ghostly Skull.  Use Spectral Strike and then Shadow Slash.  Most of the time Tyri will be dead by now.  Use Siphon Life 3 times (because the first 2 will miss), and then Shadow Slash away.  Puzzle will be gone in a few rounds.

Additional Note:  If you’re having trouble bringing Tyri down in a reasonable about of time, you can wait to bring in and out your carry pet until after Tyri’s dead.  The first two rounds of fighting Puzzle are useless to you anyway.

Manos, Hanos & Fatos

hanosfatosmanosscreen

A trio of magical voidlings is no match for your money toting mechanical, Lil’ Bling.

Synopsis: A simple strategy of picking a couple of mechanical pets to counter all the magic damage is the simplest way to achieve victory here.  By the time Fatos has time to use Seethe, he’ll be dead.

Goal: To defeat the tamer with 2 pets so that a third pet can be carried through for maximum experience gain.

Manos, Hanos & Fatos

ma16 Manos with ma16 Arcane Storm, ma16 Mana Surge, and ma16 Arcane Slash
ma16 Hanos with cr16 Sneak Attack, ma16 Flash, and ma16 Invisibility
ma16 Fatos with  Seeth, ma16 Forboding Curse, and ma16 Arcane Slash

Your Team

Lil’ Bling –  Inflation,  Extra Plating,  Make It Rain
Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling –  Breath,  Bombing Run,  Explode
Carry Pet

Again, this fight is problematic for level 1 pets because of the Arcane Storm.  Bring a level 10+ pet to survive the backline attacks.

Start with your Lil’ Bling and Make It Rain!  Use Extra Plating to survive the next several attacks from Mana Surge, and then Use Inflation to start rolling the double damage onto Manos.  When your Inflation is up, use Make It Rain again and Manos will be toast.  Extra Plating when Hanos comes in and then it’s back to Inflation.  You’ll have a 50% chance to miss, but you’ll get a few hits in for sure.  Again, use your Make It Rain for some big double damage and if you’re not dead yet, use Inflation one last time to keep the double damage debuff rolling.  Bring your Dragonling in, and finish off Hanos with a Breath.  Keep using Breath when Fatos comes in until he’s under 560 health and then Explode.  Your carry pet will receive all the experience.

Tirs & Fiero

tirsfieroscreen

As part of my series on the Menagerie Daily quests, today you’ll defeat a couple of elementals.

Synopsis: We’ll use the weather effect that Tirs give us against the team and use lots of Aquatic abilities.

Goal: To defeat the tamer with 2 pets so that a third pet can be carried through for maximum experience gain.

Tirs & Fiero

Tirs with  Acid Rain,   Renewing Mists, and   Pump
Fiero with  Burn,  Flame Jet, and  Cataclysm

Your Team

Pandaren Water Spirit –  Water Jet,  Whirlpool,  Dive
Carry Pet
Spirit Crab –  Amplify Magic,  Surge,  Shell Shield

Your carry pet should have about 600-800 health to survive the Acid Rain that Tirs does twice during the fight.

Start with the Water Spirit and use Whirlpool.  Hit Dive next to dodge the incoming Pump and then 1 to 2 Water Jets later, Tirs should be finished.  Hit Whirlpool again when Fiero comes in and then use Water Jet until your Water Spirit is finished.  Swap to your carry pet and then to your Crab.  Use Amplify Magic and then Surge twice.  Fiero is toast.

Jahan, Samm & Archimedes

archsammjahanscreenAs part of my series on the Menagerie Daily quests, today you’ll defeat a trio of little birdies.

Synopsis: Jahan uses the weather effect of Arcane Winds at the very beginning and this will be his undoing.

Goal: To defeat the tamer with 2 pets so that a third pet can be carried through for maximum experience gain.

Jahan, Samm & Archimedes

Jahan with  Savage Talon, ma16 Arcane Storm, and  Tail Sweep
Samm with  Slicing Wind,  Rain Dance, and  Predatory Strike
Archimedes with  Quills, ma16 Eyeblast, and ma16 Wild Magic

Your Team

Nexus Whelpling –  Tail Sweep, ma16 Mana Surge, ma16 Arcane Storm
Carry Pet
Emerald Proto-Whelp – ma16 Emerald Bite,  Emerald Presence,  Emerald Dream

Your Carry pet needs to have about 500 health to survive the Arcane storm, but other than that, you can bring whatever low-level pet you like.

Jahan starts with Arcane storm so start with your Nexus Whelpling and use Mana Surge.  You’re pretty much guaranteed to two-shot Jahan, and do some serious damage to Samm when he comes in.  Use your own Arcane Storm next to damage Archimedes on the back row as well as Samm.  Swap your carry pet into the fight when your Nexus Whelpling dies (you may need to throw a round or two to actually die, the Whelpling has been known to finish the whole fight by himself).  Swap your carry pet back out and finish the fight with the Emerald Proto-Whelp.
