Jahan, Samm & Archimedes

As part of my series on the Menagerie Daily quests, today you’ll defeat a trio of little birdies.

Synopsis: Jahan uses the weather effect of Arcane Winds at the very beginning and this will be his undoing.

Goal: To defeat the tamer with 2 pets so that a third pet can be carried through for maximum experience gain.

Your Team

 Nexus Whelpling –  Tail Sweep,  Mana Surge,  Arcane Storm
Carry Pet 
 Emerald Proto-Whelp –  Emerald Bite,  Emerald Presence,  Emerald Dream

Your Carry pet needs to have about 500 health to survive the Arcane storm, but other than that, you can bring whatever low-level pet you like.

Jahan starts with Arcane storm so start with your Nexus Whelpling and use Mana Surge.  You’re pretty much guaranteed to two-shot Jahan, and do some serious damage to Samm when he comes in.  Use your own Arcane Storm next to damage Archimedes on the back row as well as Samm.  Swap your carry pet into the fight when your Nexus Whelpling dies (you may need to throw a round or two to actually die, the Whelpling has been known to finish the whole fight by himself).  Swap your carry pet back out and finish the fight with the Emerald Proto-Whelp.

Hyuna of the Shrines

Goal: Defeat tamer with two level 25 pets and one low level pet for maximum pet experience

Hyuna of the Shrine’s Team:

• Skyshaper – Confusing Sting, Slicing Wind, Glowing Toxin
• Fangor – Hiss, Vicious Fang, Burrow
• Dor the Wall – Shell Shield, Headbutt, Healing Wave

Your Team:

• Nexus Whelpling with Tail Sweep, Mana Surge, Arcane Storm
• Any flyer with Alpha Strike and Cocoon Strike (Ashwing Moth, Blue Moth)
• Level 1 Pet

Lead with the Whelpling and use Tail Sweep, Arcane Storm, and then Mana Surge.  This should give you the dragonkin bonus for a 1k hit on Fangor after Skyshaper dies.  Bring in your Flyer and Alpha Strike to finish off Fangor.  Use Cocoon Strike on Dor the Wall to block Headbutt and swap in your level 1 pet.  Use any ability and then bring back your Flyer.  Finish Dor off by using Alpha Strike and continue blocking Headbutt with Cocoon Strike

Courageous Yon

Goal: Defeat tamer with two level 25 pets and one low level pet for maximum pet experience

Courageous Yon’s Team:

• Piqua – Squawk, Lift-Off, Flock
• Lapin – Adrenaline Rush, Burrow, Flurry
• Bleat – Bleat, Chew, Stampede

Your Team:

• Level 5 pet
• Nexus Whelpling with Tail Sweep, Mana Surge, and Arcane Storm
• Flayer Youngling with Triple Snap, Deflection, and Rampage

Cast any ability with your level pet, swap to Whelpling and cast Tail Sweep twice, Arcane Storm, Mana Surge. This order is important because you should end up with the Dragonkin bonus ready to hit Lapin for 80% of his health after taking Piqua from 75% to 0 in one hit.  Swap to Flayer when the Whelping dies, Triple Snap and Rampage your way to victory while using Deflection to block Chew.
